Therapy is Awesome!

I’ve been so fortunate to have found a Christian therapist who is trained in adoption/trauma work and he truly has been a God send!

Thankfully I was prepared for the grief that would show up and given the tools necessary to be able to work through it so I wasn’t overwhelmed or fearful when it surfaced. You seriously do not want to walk this journey alone.
I’m sharing another therapist’s page who is not only a Christian, but is also an international transracial adoptee himself. Cameron counsels remotely to adoptees (teens and adults) as well as future adoptive parents no matter where you live.

Because every adoptee on the planet needs access to someone who understands.
Here’s a brief look into my core values as I seek to serve and provide brave spaces for y’all.

“but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31

1️⃣ Everyone needs access to someone who gets it; to help them run and not grow weary, to walk and not be faint.

2️⃣ The good news is you’ve already got strength.

3️⃣ And I want to help renew it *so that* you would press on toward the incredible goals you were meant to achieve.

4️⃣ For adoptees and birth families, the majority of the content I share is centered on circulating our stories and equipping you with encouragement and education in the midst of your personal adoption journey.

5️⃣ For caregivers, it’s normal and appropriate for children navigating trans-racial adoption to need your help as they process loss and grief, attachment and relationships, racial/ethnic identity, the understanding of trauma, and the overall complexities that come with separation from birth family and birth culture.

6️⃣ I’m here to help you do your parenting job the best you can. And feel deeply supported along the way.

Feel free to check out my site for more info about how we put this into practice. It’s a privilege to be in this space with y’all. Thanks for joining me at Therapy Redeemed; together we’re building that community
