Thank you so much for checking out my blog. My name is Jennifer and I am a 39 year old Christian, interracial, international, Colombian Adoptee. I was born in Colombia, adopted from Bogota and raised on Long Island in New York.
I started sharing my journey on social media during Adoption Awareness Month in November of 2018. I found the reflective process of writing my story incredibly healing. What I wasn’t expecting was the outpouring of love, support and interest from my friends on social media. In an effort not to blow up their newsfeed and because I was tired of character limits, I took to blogging.
It is my hope that this blog will continue to be a medium on which I am able to share with you my journey of healing and how God has worked in my heart so that I could reclaim the voice that was lost so long ago. I also hope that it will serve as a source of encouragement and hope for those who are struggling through difficult times. This blog is for the broken hearted, those dealing with loss, abandonment, shame, guilt and just about every other struggle you can think of, because let’s face it, we all have struggles. I hope this blog will show you that forgiveness, love, healing and hope is possible.
